Mitski’s song has been playing in my head all day since I opened my parcel from Barnes & Noble. It arrived ahead of schedule and I got emails at each stage of the delivery telling me when to expect the book. I’m really impressed! I thought they only delivered to North America but I got prompt delivery. I could not stop pawing at the book. I told friends that I would not cry upon the “unboxing” and that was true. But I did get emotional nevertheless. I looked at it in wonder and went, “I wrote this. I MADE THIS.”
Because you know, when you’re indie, you’re in control of most of the process, and it’s so much more mine because of that. The downside is that if it fails, I only have myself to blame. But I hope it won’t.
Here’s is my darling book that I have been talking about for over a decade. FINALLY. The upcoming Watermaidens Day (14 February 2024, also the 14th Watermaidens Day) will be very satisfying indeed.
You also get a sneak peek at my cozy and pretty office at work.
If you’ve read the book and enjoyed it, I’d really appreciate stars and reviews given on the sites where you bought the books. Rankings mean a lot to authors, especially indie authors because that’s a way of getting more eyes on the book. Thank you, and thank you for all of the support this book and I have received, friends. I really appreciate it. 💐 ❤️ ✨
Oh, and ps: the final stages of edits for Watermyth had me listening to Mitski’s entire discography for days on end. So, it’s very fitting for the title of this post to be from a song of hers. 😊
Curious to read Watermyth? Here’s the information on how to purchase the ebook (and how to borrow it from the library) and the print edition.
