Hello!
I have very happy news to share today. Watermyth managed to make it to the British Science Fiction Association Awards Longlist for Best Novel!
I saw the nomination information make the rounds on social media rather wistfully but thought it was way out of my league and so did not really pay too much attention. But I was informed by two writing group (Codex) friendos today that I had made the longlist! Me! My little chonky indie book that could! We did it!

I’m pretty emotional about this because it’s beyond my wildest hopes for the book. But it’s a much-needed validation which gives me the faith and courage to keep plugging on with the rest of the books in the Cantata of the Fourfold Realms. I’ve also been bolstered by so many lovely words of appreciation and support over the past few months!
This makes the incoming 15th Watermaidens Day all the more special and meaningful to me, so I’ve decided to celebrate that by having an additional sales/promo period for Watermyth. For regions included in Draft2Digital’s promo programme, I have set the price of USD4.99 for the entire month of February for people who did not catch the ebook markdown price during the last promo period. The link below has all of the different places you can purchase the ebook!
Curious to read my debut novel Watermyth? Here’s the information on how to purchase the ebook (and how to borrow it from the library) and the print edition.
